This is the Official
School Website which will give you a handle on what
the school is doing these days.

|
A website
for all ex-pupils of the school, otriginally inspired
by the XPN and maintained by Colin Matthews. Launched
in 2001, it now contains over 100 submissions made by
former pupils. If you are a former Stanwix pupil, and
have not done so already, then please have a look at this
site and see if you can contribute something ? Any info,
scans, stories etc would be more than welcome.
|

A multi-school version
of the XPN, with much the same things: pics, memories,
reunions etc. This site is genuinely trying to cater
for every school in the UK... good luck to 'em, I'm
busy enough with Trinity! The real bummer about Friends
Re-united is that you have to pay £5 per annum to get
at your friends e-mail addresses, unlike yer super soar-away
XPN which remains gratis, although any donations towards
the cost of maintaining the Trinity XPN Site would be
very welcome - if you wish to send a donation, no matter
how small, then please contact the webmaster

For those of you who can't
get hold of a copy of your favourite local newspaper
- here's the web version. Includes News & Star,
Evening Mail, Times & Star, Whitehaven News and
the Cumbria Life Magazine.

this one for ex-RAF Carlisle, KOBR etc. kids. They can
get to any of the military schools lists from there.".

When I
visit Carlisle and chat to people, I'm amazed at how
much of the local lingo (which I used to speak myself
- sorry - mesel') I've forgotten. I mean, if someone
asked me what time "Border crack and deekabout"
was on or whether I knew a certain charver's bewer's
boyo, I wouldn't know where to put myself. Lucky for
me that an enterprising chap, Dan Gibson, maintains
a dictionary of Cumbrian slang on the 'Net. Furthermore,
he's always looking for new words. Why not take a look
and remind yourself of how you used to talk before you
got a job, went posh and bought a totally unnecessary
4x4? |

Carlisle
United Online - an excellent site run by former pupil
Al Woodcock, for all things CUFC-related.
