Name of your class in
exam year: I think
5IE - Mrs Evans
Names of some classmates:
Jane Sparrow, Hazel Pearson, Laura Routledge, Karen Ostridge,
John Fisher, John Orr
Best things about the
school: Didn't really enjoy school - so I suppose
being able to get home quickly
with just living right opposite Upper School.
Favourite teachers:
Mr Evans
Education after Trinity:
Carlisle Tech, Farnborough College of Technology
Career to Date: Administration
- currently studying for the Institute of Administrative
Management Advanced Diploma.
Where do you live now?
When I got married to a 'squaddie' I moved to initially
to Winchester, then out to Germany, back to Aldershot
for 6 years then back out to Germany for another 6 years
and we have now lived in Oakley, a small village outside
Basingstoke, Hampshire for the past 2 years since Chris
retired - yep I'm married to a 40-something pensioner!
Details of spouse / partner,
kids etc: Married to Chris, no kids
If you could have your
time at Trinity again, you would... : Probably
like everyone else - try
harder. Try not to laugh so much in Geography
lessons - the sight of Mr Waugh always set me off!
Any other details you'd
like to go on the site? I
can remember the year we went to Coniston and a group
of us were caught drinking
cider out of a hot water bottle and being told off in
front of the rest
of the 'holiday campers' and a tray of sausages!!
I did attend the reunion
for this year last September held in the Working
Men's Club - it as great
to see everyone - some have changed and there are
those who have not changed one little bit. |

| Judith
Porzel (Nee Eaton) - judith.porzel@tiscalinet.de
(added April 2001) |
So, I was one of Mr Eaton's
daughters! My name now is Judith Porzel and I left
Trinity in 1982 having done my O-Levels in 1980 (I was
in 5R, I think). Classmates
(of whom it would interest me what they are doing now)
are Jean Eaglesham,
Judith Coates (last heard of also in Germany), Susan Donaghue,
Alison Doggart, Alison
Foster, Carolyn Fell, Jeanette Davis, etc etc (I could
probably still list
almost the complete class).
I can't say I really had
any favourite teachers - though I suppose we had great
fun with Peter Bowyer - as
being "Mr Eaton's daughter" I had a rather strange
status in the school which
you could count as being the "worst thing about the
school". After
Trinity I did a B.A. in French and German at Sheffield
University and have lived
in Germany more or less ever since. I now work for a lighting
manufacturing company in
the south of Germany (near Bamberg) and sold the wall
lighting fittings to the
new cinema which opened in Botchergate in 2000!! I got
married (to a German) in
1988 and now have two children.
My brother, Andrew Eaton
(who left sometime in the 1990s but I couldn't say
when) is now living in Glasgow.
He is a journalist and works for the Scotsman.
My sister, Catherine (now
Duda), who did her O-Levels in about 1977, is now
training to be a nurse and
lives in Helensburgh. Both are married. Catherine has
two daughters. (Her husband
is ex-Newman). And
that's about it... if anyone wants to get in touch, I'd
be pleased to hear from
them.
P.S. I found out about
this site from Michelle Cini (of Bristol University) who
was also in my year at school.

Maggi Phillips, Laura Routledge and Helen Jones and says
friendship was the best thing about Trinity. Her favourite
teachers were Madam Vallely, Mr Evans, Mrs Teasdale, Mr

Her fondest memories are
of St John's in the Vale and Coniston. Fiona still lives
in Carlisle, combining the roles of mother & housewife
(the family being Karl and her two daughters Natalie &
Robyn). She's having a reunion in September 2000 and would
love to get in touch with anyone else from her year. Given
